This is Alyx. She is quite a small cat -- only about 5.25 pounds.  She is 22 years old and named after a character in one of Joanna Russ' books.  Alyx died of old age and chronic renal failure in August 2004.  She is missed.

HT, on the other hand is a bit larger -- about 8 pounds. She is also quite a bit younger. We think she is about 4 years old. (H.T. stands for Holy Terror which she was. She has calmed down a lot.)
