Welcome to Grace O'Malley's Universe

Miscellaneous Interesting Sites

This site embodies the true spirit of the Internet -- a true sharing of information. is sometimes seen as the last unconquered, free sharing of information project. You can download classic books and read them on your computer. New books are always being added. You can volunteer to help promote the project. Project Gutenberg is an oasis in a sea of electronic profit-mongering.

There are many, many sites to help build your web site.  I particularly like .   You can build logos and buttons for your site using the software set-up Cool Text has on-line. This is a great resource!

You may have noticed the "anti-Microsoft" graphic on the first page. I believe that Micrsoft has stifled creativity and certainly has trampled all over the free market. If you are fed up with crashes and blue screens and system errors, this site is for you. Trouble Shooting Windows system errors, GPFs, and page faults is a specialty of this site.

I was pretty good at math in school. But I was too early.  It was not a good thing to be a girl and be good at math. Here's a site for everyone: Cool Math. It is especially good for kids but parents can learn from it too. I am hoping they post more on calculus. That was NOT one of my better subjects in high school.

All too often I receive a hoax message from a well-meaning friend. One in particular was a hoax that had been floating around the Internet for about 2 years.  Supposedly underarm anti-perspirant causes breast cancer!! Except, the American Cancer Society and other medical experts say it's all hogwash. Netlore has comprehensive listings of all the urban legends, hoaxes and other detrius that pops up on the Net.  Craig Shergold does not need your business card!!
