WEEKLY SUMMARY:
A generally cold week is ahead with mainly dry conditions and plenty of clouds early on. A weak weather system late Thursday into Thursday night may bring light snow, but accumulations are expected to be minor. Breezy conditions arrive Friday as colder air moves in, followed by the coldest temperatures of the week on Friday night into Saturday. While sunshine increases over the weekend, it will remain well below normal before clouds return late Sunday with another slight chance of light snow.


COLDEST PERIOD: Friday night through Saturday morning (lows near 6, wind chills below zero at times)


WINDIEST DAY: Friday (northwest winds gusting up to 24 mph)


TODAY (FEB 2) – CLOUDY AND COLD

Mostly cloudy and chilly with a high near 31.Wind chills between 15 and 21. West wind around 8 mph, gusting to 16 mph.


MONDAY NIGHT – COLD WITH SOME CLOUDS

Mostly cloudy in the evening, then partly to mostly cloudy overnight. Low around 11. Wind chills between 5 and 15. West-northwest wind near 6 mph.


TUESDAY (FEB 3) – BRIGHT BUT COLD

Partly to mostly sunny. High near 25. Wind chills from 3 to 15. Northwest wind around 6 mph.

Partly cloudy in the morning, becoming partly to mostly cloudy by afternoon. High near 27. Wind chills from 5 to 19. West-northwest wind around 4 mph.

Fair to partly cloudy early, then mostly cloudy overnight. Low around 11. West-northwest wind near 4 mph.


THURSDAY (FEB 5) – OVERCAST, LIGHT SNOW POSSIBLE

Dense overcast with a slight chance of snow. High near 31. Wind chills from 8 to 22. Southwest wind around 7 mph. The chance of snow is 20 percent. Little or no accumulation expected.


THURSDAY NIGHT – LIGHT SNOW LIKELY

Cloudy with a chance of snow after midnight. Low around 24, with temperatures rising late. Wind chills as low as 16. West-southwest wind around 10 mph, gusting to 19 mph. The chance of snow is 40 percent. Around a half inch possible.


FRIDAY (FEB 6) – WINDY AND TURNING COLDER

Partly cloudy and breezy. High near 31, falling during the afternoon. Wind chills from 6 to 18. Northwest wind around 14 mph, gusting to 24 mph.


FRIDAY NIGHT – VERY COLD (COLDEST OF THE WEEK)

Mostly clear early, then fair to partly cloudy overnight. Low near 6. Wind chills between -1 and 6. Northwest wind around 6 mph.


SATURDAY (FEB 7) – SUNNY BUT BITTER COLD

Partly cloudy in the morning, turning sunny in the afternoon. High near 19. Wind chills from -3 to 8. Northwest wind around 7 mph.


SATURDAY NIGHT – CLEAR AND COLD

Clear to mostly clear. Low near 6. Northwest wind around 3 mph.
